Getting There from Here

So many great bits to blog today. Jeff Tunnell of Garage Games (the Torque engine) has posted a long (but insightful and appreciated) article on making it as an indy game developer.

In his article, he lists five steps progressive steps:

  1. Hobbyist
  2. Educational, Resume Building
  3. Spare Time, Secondary Revenue Stream
  4. Full Time Developer, Supplemented by Contracts
  5. Full Time, Your Games Only

w00t, we’re at Step 1 (except that, perhaps, we’ve bitten off a bigger bite than Jeff would recommend). I like the idea of a stepwise and progressive approach to getting there from here.  We’ll see how it goes.
